How Are Multi-Fold Maps Made?

With the success of our last video, we wanted to share a visual of how Multi-Fold maps are made.

No doubt at some stage you have used a multi-fold document. They are commonly used for Maps, whether they be for the road or rail network and they are commonly used for amusement parks and places of interest that cover a large area. Other places that may utilise them are large shopping centres/outlets or large events whereby a number of different locations or stands are present. However they are used, the aim is to give you a compact, easy to refer to method of finding the information you need.

You've also likely had some issues with trying to fold them back again - we've all been there!

The map featured in our video is a rail map - we produced approximately 20,000 of these for our client at our premises in Small Dole and once folded, they are mounted onto a wrap-around cover. The cover gives it extra durability and a better finish - especially helping to protect against the weather as much as possible!

We are looking to produce more videos showing the printing and finishing process as it is a fascinating and informative way of showing the services that we provide at Sussex Print Finishers, so if you have any suggestions on what you would like to see then get in touch with us and let us know - either email us or speak to us on the phone about your finishing requirements.
